well it doesnt necesarily have to support farmers. it is farmers that made it seem that way . but it is not true. because if i bust my butt to get something like that than atleast i know that i worked hard for it. so farmers just gave anyone with 15k armor a bad reputation at first glance. but if the person with the armor knows that they got it from hard work then that should be all they need to know. people just need to stop judging books by their covers...
but i do understand what you are saying, and in no way meant to argue with your comment. just thought i would put in my 2 cents.

I noticed that the stats are EXACTLY the same...
....am I missing something here? Is this 15k armor just a cool looking armor? Does it offer anything special to cost SO much?
Someone plz fill me in here!!
Thanks in advance!

All the armor at the higher end is exactly the same. Even the Fissure/Obsidian armor. That's right. Pay 1.5 million for FoW armor and it's no different from 8 plat Drok armor.
The sole difference is the look. 15k indeed looks better. I hate normal druids armor. 15k druids looks so much better. Etc, etc.
Anyhow, just think of the 15k and FoW armor as a means to display wealth. Or simply "look cooler."
Cheers!

I disagree with this, i see it more as a player with 15k or Fow armor is more likley to know the game more and have more skills and be more experienced than a player in droknar armor. This does not apply always but in my experience most of the time it does.

...Yeah because people that farm all day every day know how to work with a team...right...
Not saying they don't...but having high end armor doesn't mean anything other than that you farm alot, which in most cases I've found that those people think they can solo everything and that they don't need the team they're with...then they die because they can't counter everything, ha.

So... is FoW armor in a different league than 15k Kurzicks for example?
Or is FoW armor same stats too?
Thanks much for this info guys!

All armor is the same... any 1.5 max armor level will be the same as the fow/15k varient.

15k armor is a status thing. Kinda like driving around in a bently or lamborghini. Nobody NEEDS a bently as a toyota would do just fine, however a bently is also seen as a status symbol, it shows just how well off (money wise) you are. Same thing here, the stats are the same but one costs more and is harder to get and therefore shows a higher level of status for that person.

Please Don't say a Bently or Lambos pointless, trust me there not! Anyway the thing with 1,5k and 15k is just a status thing, if you see someone with 15k armour you will think that they have experience in the game, and you'd be right most of the time.

Alot of people with FoW armor are snobs and general assholes, when i made it to ice caves with my warrior there was a party looking for another tank(2 of them in fow armor other 3 in 15k i think). I was told i couldn't come in to the party because my armor was from Droknors Forge, so i asked what did it matter? and the leaders reply was something like ''omg n00b learn how to play the game then i'll tell you.''
Not to mention with the increase of gold buyers on Ebay FoW armour isn't the status symbol it once was.

Bottom line, when people have the money to spend they buy nice stuff, like 15k armor. Changing 15k armor stats would unbalanced the game as well.

Yeah it's 100% about looks.
I have 3 sets of 15k armor, two dyed black and one dyed silver. I don't think it makes me better than anybody, I think it just looks cool. And that's honestly the only reason I got it...it looks cooler.
I am getting the FoW helm for my war, because the ascalon 15k helm looks like trash IMO. I've been using it for some months now, and it's dyed black. But because I don't think it looks that cool I'm going to basically throw it out.
People go to extremes to get things that look cool...that's why people pay 100k + ecto for cool looking skins.

After you play guildwars for a while you'll realise that it's all just a big fashion contest.

Some buy 15K/Obsidian armors because they have 2 much money, others farm hard for them because they need 2 prove theyr ingame wealth... Anyways as Nessaja said it's a fashion contest out there so u have 2 keep up to it (i personaly have 2 fissure armors, those who dont like it no comment i worked hard for them:P)

Just so you know OP, any armor that costs 1.5k(excluding the cost of materials) or more per peice is going to have the exact same stats as any other 1.5k(excluding the cost of materials) or more armor peice.
